Gator Business Sales is an independent business broker and consultancy owned and run by Mark and Sue Martin.

Mark has more than 30 years’ commercial experience, the majority of which has been spent in senior sales and marketing roles in the UK, Europe and the USA. He got his first taste of buying and selling a business back in the late 1980’s while working as sales manager for a family company that was purchased by a major multinational. A similar scenario arose in the mid 1990’s, but this time Mark was a director of a privately owned company being acquired by a US Fortune 500 corporation. As such, he got a much deeper insight into the process of buying and selling businesses, experience which is invaluable in his day-to-day role with Gator Business Sales. Mark also owned and operated a commercial property services business in Florida which he subsequently sold to one of the company’s subcontractors.

With an eye for accuracy and attention to detail, Sue is a business administration specialist and has a wealth of experience in such diverse industries as retail, IT, pharmaceuticals, and general manufacturing. Sue has also spent time in field sales, both in the UK and Scandinavia. Together with her husband Mark, Sue jointly owned and ran a business in Florida in which she was responsible for the company’s finance and administration functions.

Since returning to the UK in 2010 we have been utilising our considerable experience of buying, selling, owning and running businesses to successfully market and sell small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Dorset, Hampshire and South Wiltshire to local, national, and occasionally, international buyers. Specialising in working with buyers and sellers of privately owned businesses throughout the sale and purchase process, we offer a friendly and efficient service with local knowledge of the area and current market trends.

We appreciate that for many people it may be the first (and only) time they sell or buy a business. We will work closely with you every step of the way, giving as much support, advice and guidance as you would like.

So, if you are considering the sale of your business, have an interest in buying one, or are looking for advice on valuation or the sale and purchase process, we would be happy to meet you for an informal chat to discuss your options, at a venue and time to fit in with your schedule. Please get in touch – see our Contact page for details. We look forward to hearing from you.
